Classical Studies Clubs

Elementary Classical Studies

Christ-Centered Classical Studies inspires learners to reflect on truth, goodness, and beauty in God, themselves and the world around them. The Elementary level reflects on grammar and acquisition of facts.  This Club reviews Grammar, Ancient History, World Geography, Science, Math, Latin, and Fine Arts. This Club is limited to 8 families. Parents rotate leading the lessons. Each participating Parent will lead 5 sessions or less for the school year.  Training on the Classical method is provided in August. 

WHAT: Elementary Classical Studies Club

WHO: 4-12 year old learners

WHEN: Fridays @ 9:30am to 12:00pm

WHERE: Stone Mountain Campus (Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 5587 Redan Rd, Stone Mountain, GA)

 

COST: $35.00 per family per semester (Due September 1, 2021 and January 1, 2022) - payable to Paypal.me/dche1

middle school Classical Studies

Christ-centered Classical Studies inspire learners to reflect on truth, goodness, and beauty in God, themselves, and the world around them. The Middle School level reflects on grammar and begins to analyze the logic of such facts learned in the grammar stage. This Club reviews Math Drills, Ancient History merged with Composition and Grammar. Ancient History and Composition instruction include supplemental courseware designed specifically for this Club. Additionally, students are encouraged to study Latin and World Geography (with Cartography) independent of this Club (see resources below). 

 

WHAT: Middle School Classical Studies Club

WHO: 9- to12-year-old learners who are current and/or former participants of the DCHE Elementary Classical Studies Club OR DCHE Middle School Classical Studies Club.

WHEN: Thursdays @ 10:30am-12:30pm

WHERE: Virtual Campus (via Zoom)

COST: $25.00 per student term due September 1 and January 1. Remit payment via PayPal.me/byfaithacademy

Mapping the World with Art Video eCourse and Geo Bee Club.

 

SUPPLIES NEEDED: laptop/PC/tablet with Wi-Fi access; subject or composition notebook; pencil/pen, folder (to hold worksheets distributed on Weds), registration in the Writing with Ancient History Course Shell.
